🎓 Celebrating Dr. Binbin Lin’s Graduation! 🎉

The GEAR Lab is thrilled to celebrate the graduation of Dr. Binbin Lin, who successfully earned her Ph.D. in Geography from Texas A&M University!

Dr. Lin’s groundbreaking dissertation, “Social Sensing for Public Health: A BESH Framework to Understand and Mitigate Inequalities,” has already garnered major recognition, including the 2025 Texas A&M Distinguished Dissertation Award. Her innovative research has made significant contributions to understanding and addressing health disparities through cutting-edge geospatial and social sensing methods. She has published 24 papers, won 5 awards, and received several travel awards during her PhD study at Texas A&M.

After graduation, Dr. Lin will join Lanzhou Jiaotong University as an Associate Professor! She will soon start recruiting graduate students and establish her research lab at Lanzhou Jiaotong University!
