On Feb 11th, Dr. Zou was invited to give a talk titled "Active Hope in the Changing World: Geospatial Approaches to Enhancing Disaster and Pandemic Resilience" at the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI), the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
This talk covered how a large, diversified amount of data that is available for use and the advances in GIScience can be leveraged to rapidly, precisely, and multi dimensionally observe and predict the dynamics of human behaviors in urban development, environmental systems, and pandemic.
