Recently, GEAR Lab received two collaborative seed grants from Texas A&M University. In the first project, we will collaborate with PI Dr. Wanhe Li from TAMU Biology to investigate the effect of social isolation using geospatial big data and drosophila. In the second project, we will collaborate with PI Dr. Ning (Patricia) Ning from TAMU Statistics on predicting the Covid-19 outbreak and spreading through advanced statistical machine learning and geospatial big data. Congratulations!
We look forward to fostering an interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers from different backgrounds to empower social goods and public health with spatial thinking and novel data!
