Joynal Abedin Won the 1st Place at Texas A&M Student Research Week Poster Competition

We are proud to share that Joynal Abedin, a GEAR Lab member and Ph.D. candidate in Geography at Texas A&M, earned first place in the Earth & Physical Sciences category at the 2025 Texas A&M Student Research Week (SRW) Poster Competition. This recognition highlights the exceptional quality and impact of Joynal’s research among a distinguished cohort of presenters across campus. 

Joynal's Poster presentation introduces his latest work using geospatial analysis and modeling, satellite observations, and machine learning methods to uncover the impacts of brickfield industry on air pollution and human health in Bangladesh.
