Ph.D. Student Binbin Lin is Awarded Excellent Research from the Department of Geography

Congratulations! Gear Lab Ph.D. student, Miss. Binbin Lin, is the winner of the Department of Geography Graduate Student Excellence in Research Award this year.

Binbin’s research dedicates to combating public health crises through geospatial data and approaches, which is one of the most cutting-edge and critical themes in the GIScience domain. Her current research is developing intelligent models that accurately reveal the global and regional human responses to Covid-19 and their health effects through the fusion of multiple geospatial big data. Based on the part of the results from this investigation, Binbin submitted a manuscript as the first author to the journal International Journal of Digital Earth. The manuscript was recently accepted. She also actively presented this work at different conferences and received several travel awards and one best paper award.
